Frequently asked questions
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
This varies depending on your goals and the nature of what you're experiencing. Many people benefit from a series of sessions to support deeper healing in the body. For chronic issues or long-standing tension patterns, multiple sessions are often helpful.
Do you offer standalone Reiki sessions?
I do offer standalone Reiki sessions. Reiki is an excellent way to gently start your healing journey. These sessions focus solely on energetic alignment, offering deep relaxation and support for your overall well-being.
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session includes your intake and assessment, overall energy and body balancing and noting any specific issues. Sessions take place in a quiet, comfortable treatment space where you remain fully clothed. In most sessions, both CST and Reiki are used to help restore balance.
What should I bring with me?
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle with to your appointment. If you have specific concerns or intentions for the session, feel free to bring notes or questions to discuss beforehand.
What do follow up sessions typically look like?
Every session can look different depending on what your body is in need of at that certain point in time. This may involve deeper focus on certain areas, shifting techniques, or integrating different modalities based on how your body responds.
How should I take care of myself after a session?
Following your session, make sure to drink plenty of water and allow yourself some time to unwind. You may also find it helpful to take a short walk, engage in gentle movement, or enjoy a warm bath with salt. Your body may continue processing the work, so move slowly and honor whatever you’re feeling.
Is This Work Safe During Pregnancy?
Yes. Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki are both gentle therapies that can be very supportive throughout pregnancy. These approaches help the body release tension, support pelvic balance, and promote nervous system relaxation during a time of significant physical and emotional change.
Craniosacral Therapy may help relieve many common pregnancy-related discomforts, including ligament pain, sciatic pain, rib and back discomfort, hip or sacral tension, and postural strain as the body adapts to a growing baby. Some clients also find support for symptoms such as heartburn, shortness of breath, and general physical tension.
As the body becomes more balanced and tension patterns release, the pelvis and surrounding tissues may have greater freedom of movement. This can help create a more supportive environment for both mother and baby as the body prepares for birth.
Many people choose to receive sessions during pregnancy not only for physical relief, but also to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and connection with their changing body.
